Corally/STCC 2012 Championship booking-in open...
The calendar for the 2012 Corally/STCC is now finalized and the system is now open. The championship has been reduced to the best 4 from 6 rounds to reduce the costs to drivers in light of the ever increasing cost of traveling and participation. 2012 will again consist of 2 classes, the very successful 13.5T TC3 class and the up and coming and highly competitive 21.5T TC4 class. Tyres will be the same custom STCC tyres as used in previous championships. All STCC branded tyres may be used.

EWS 2011 - Round 4 Results...
Another fully booked meeting saw the welcome return of a track layout used earlier in the series. As drivers have got to know the control tire and hone their carpet setups over the winter months, the racing was closer than ever.
Darren Tickner took another overall victory in the 21.5 class, his third in a row and has now secured the overall series title, with 2 rounds still to go! Second place is still very much up for grabs, with Mark Trinder returning to the form many expected to see from him to take second overall at the round, with Coastal club's Barry Hughes preventing an Eastbourne lock-out of the podium to take third overall, the position he's managed at every round he has attended!

Over in the 13.5 Super Stock class, Mark Fuller repeated his feat of the previous round and secured pole position with his Corally HMX by 1.03secs. However, despite running off into a clear lead, once again he was unable to convert that into an overall finals victory, with David Bowen winning leg 1 and Paul Pinkney taking the second leg. Overall, Paul took the win from David and Mark, leaving the championship wide open going into the final 2 rounds of the series.
The series returns in February with Round 5, and also the 2-day International Memorial Cup meeting being held at the same location and organised by the same team. Entries for both of these are filling up quickly, and as always CentralBooking is the only way to secure an entry. See you next month!
