BRCA 190mm TC Bodyshell List

The TC section officers have agreed to accept GBS (Global Body Spec) bodyshells for submission to the BRCA bodyshell list. Sample bodyshells must still be submitted for reference, accompanied by the relevant BRCA submission fee(s) and supporting documentation/photos. All bodyshell scrutineering will still be as per BRCA dimensions as in the BRCA diagram.

Only the bodyshells listed below have been approved for use in the British Scale Touring Car Championship. This is the definitive list and applies to all classes. Submitted bodyshells are to be approved for racing by the Eligibility Officer. To be approved for racing a bodyshell must conform to the dimensional rules shown below and commercial availability rules.

Notes relating to scrutineering… Bodyshells
For ALL classes - only those bodyshells listed as being approved for racing by the Eligibility Officer may be used at BRCA (1/10th Electric Circuit Section) sanctioned events. This list may be updated through the year.

Bodyshells are to be mounted as per the diagram in the handbook. For the purposes of measuring the roof height the car/chassis is to be placed on a 8mm block. Rear valance/bumper height check to be made 'off the block'.

Wings:
Extra care may be required, in some cases, to ensure NO part of the rear wing is above the roof level. (This includes the endplates). NO additional inboard 'spill plates' may be attached to the rear wing, except those that form part of the original moulding.

Windows:
As per rule 8.3a. Details of all front and rear lights, grills and air intakes etc must be clearly contrasted from the surrounding paintwork. Windows to be left clear and un-painted (i.e. NO tinting).

To aid the Race Referee, a competitor’s race number is to be clearly displayed on their car. The race number, including the white background, is not to be altered in size or shape. The number is to be positioned within the front windscreen area only and not obstructed from view. (The message here is clear, help the Referees to help you!)

It is the competitor's responsibility to ensure their car meets ALL scrutineering requirements… NOT the meeting officials…
